MCB Library Dedication

library-dedicationFor months, noise associated with construction and renovation of the Library finally became the place students have been anticipating.

Dr. Nowell Donovan, Provost, said the Mary Couts Burnett Library is a facility that is truly at TCU’s academic heart and soul and is the crown jewel of the Intellectual Commons, the new academic crossroads of the campus.

The newly renovated library is a facility expanded, reconfigured and enhanced with cutting-edge technology. It’s a place of community, connection and collaboration. And most important, a library designed to best serve TCU’s people and elevate its programs.

“A college library is at the center of student life – it is a place to study, to socialize, to learn, to research, and even to agonize through all-nighters with fellow classmates,” said Maddie Reddick, SGA President. “Over the past couple of years, I have watched our library fill with students, to the point where there was simply not enough space to accommodate everyone. Now, we have this beautiful space full of exciting resources where all our needs our met to ensure our success in the classroom. And this is not just a place for us, but for many future Horned Frogs to come.”
