Welcome Back!

It’s that time of year again.  Moving in, unpacking, reconnecting with old friends, making new friends, buying textbooks and now finding all of your classes and getting back in study mode.

The library is here to to help!   For those of you that need a quick refresher in doing research or just figuring your way around all of our resources, check out our tutorials.  If you prefer a more personalized approach, get to know your Subject Liaison Librarian.  They work at the Reference Desk, but are also available for individual research consultations.

Course Reserves are also kept here at the library.  Some of the readings can be checked out at the Circulation Desk, but many are available online.

The library is one of the more popular places on campus to study.  Whether you are looking for computers, group study or quiet study areas, we’ve got you covered.   The Information Commons has desktop computers or you can checkout a laptop to take elsewhere in the building.  If you are looking for group study areas, you can checkout a Group Study Room or reserve a Frog Pod.   If you need a quieter environment to study, the Gearheart Reading Room is our most popular quiet study spot, but there are seats throughout the building that offer quiet places.  Hopefully you’ll find your favorite study spot somewhere here in the library.

For those times when you are looking to take a break from the daily grind of studying, we’ve got our Popular Reading Collection located in the Bistro and we have several popular movies that you can checkout from the Music/Media Library. Or just kick back and enjoy a hot cup of coffee, pastry or some sushi at the Bistro.

We look forward to seeing you this semester and are here if you need help!
